I did my very first Iceland visit on 25th of October. Just in a second when I saw Iceland from the airplane, my heart was stolen. Iceland had been for a long time on my bucket list. A dream environment where to photograph. Even how many pictures you would look from Instagram or Pinterest, it’s still a place out of this word. How many pictures had I search on Black Sand beach and still I whispered ”wow” when I saw it. How beautiful Earth can be.
Andrew had found me from Facebook and had sent me a message. He and Esther where living in Iceland but had already got married in Las Vegas. They didn’t have a photographer on their wedding day and they hadn’t had anyone taken their wedding portraits. It really had been a quick wedding in Las Vegas! I was more then honoured to take their wedding portraits. Esther hadn’t had a wedding dress so we figured out that a red dress would look beautiful at the Black Sand beach. Luckily the waves weren’t that huge so we could safely have the portraits taken.
“Our experience with Lisa was wonderful! Very easy to communicate and get along with. She did an excellent job at making us feel comfortable, and she was funny aswell! I cried when I received the photos, they were well beyond what I could have hoped for. She has an excellent eye and edited them beautifully aswell! We feel so lucky we had the opportunity to work with Lisa and would do it again in a heartbeat!“

”Lisa is not only an extremely professional photographer, but also an unimaginably skilled person to make you feel relaxed in front of a camera. The stress of the wedding day is often great, but talking with Lisa, joking and her attentive presence makes shooting smooth. Neither of us has ever felt very natural in front of the camera, but this time everything was different. In addition, it has been very easy to communicate with Lisa: quick responses, flexibility and excellent service attitude describe her work best. Everything has been really easy for us, and it is important, because on the wedding day there are a thousand other movable pieces and things to do. In our day, Lisa saved through camera literally every important moment for us. When you look at pictures, you never think, ”I wish I had this kind of picture” as it seems to be photographed in everything and every angle. At the same time, however, she has been invisible in the church. In wedding portrait session she realized our vision exactly as we wanted. In addition, she had her own ideas that we did not even remember, but which perfectly suited us. Many dislike the rain for a wedding day’s disaster, but with Lisa’s help, we took everything out of different shades. All in all, we got our picture-like, versatile and really pretty images!

”Jori and I met in a cruising ship where we celebrated our common friends birthday. We hadn’t met before. I noticed Jori’s eyes: they where a mixture of green and blue but looked like ice. We spent the evening together but it didn’t lead to nowhere. We saw each other on the following week. I had arranged a home party just to see him again. Even the other people at the party noticed we had something going on. After the home party we kept sending messages and I tried to give him hints on asking me out. It lead to nowhere to I thought he might not be interested. Soon he pulled himself together and asked me out for a coffee. After that we kept seeing each other now and then. Our friends thought we where dating so on the new years eve 2014 we started our relationship together. I fell in love with him on how good hearted man he is and how he makes me feel happy and safe with him.”- Hannamari the bride.
”Lisa is a hard working professional with great talent and vision. Her style of photography is very modern and international. She was an obvious choice for our wedding photographer and we couldn’t be any happier of how the pictures turned out.” -Hannamari
”We met at jazz festival in Pori, where we both had been working. Reijo passed me on staircase and all I could say to my friend was: ’Damn, that was the man of my life and I didn’t even say hi!’ Luckily Reijo came back noticing me and started talking. We still tend to argue on witch one noticed each other first.
We’ve been together for sixteen years. Our children do know we are each others best friends. Nowadays we do end each others sentences, buy exactly same food from the shops- at the same time! We even attend to plan surprises for each other and having the same ideas. I believe that in the next year we don’t need to communicate at all, haha!” -Anna
”Alex and I met through a mutual friend while I was in the university. They had grown up together and she and I worked together while we where in school. Alex was in the military and used to come and hang out with us on the weekends to get away from the base. I remember thinking he was really cool and was funny and sweet. We where friends about a year before we started dating. I don’t remember the exact moment when I decided there was something more, but I remember thinking that I had better be sure if I wanted to start dating him, because I knew it was forever.” -Kirstie the bride
”I thought Kirstie was beautiful the very first time I saw her. She seemed smart and exciting. She has always had a very outgoing and bubbly personality. She has a way of making people around her smile. I had a crush on her right away. I have always been pretty shy, so I didn’t act on my feelings for a long time, but I think I liked her from the very beginning.” -Alex the groom.
”Alex has always been thoughtful and so smart. He was (and is) also just hilarious and easy and fun to be around. If I could bottle up what we have right now and keep it forever, that would be my wish. Life with Alex is easy in the best way. He accepts me for all that I am, doesn’t judge, is quick to forgive my grumpy moments and we don’t really fight. As we grow old, I want to be just one unit, that knows each others silent messages and loves unconditionally.” -Kirstie
” I knew that I wanted to spent the rest of my life with Kirstie when I was posted across the country and Kirstie told me that she would come with me. We had been dating for about a year at that point and were only able to see each other on the weekends for that year due to her school and my work. The fact that she was willing to pack up everything and move with me told me that she was committed to the relationship and would do anything to be together.” -Alex.
”I can’t say enough good things about Lisa. Booking a photographer for our wedding from across the world is scary, but Lisa made us comfortable straight away. She is always quick to respond and so genuine. When we arrived in Finland Lisa met up with is before the wedding to get to know us and she is so great, nd makes you feel at ease right away. She truly felt like another guest at our wedding and caught so many perfect moments at the same time. She even live-storied our wedding on Instagram for our family back home. Not only that, we had sneak peek pictures the next morning (so awesome!). If that doesn’t top it off, she wanted to be sure nothing was lost in the mail and she travelled hours to meet us a week later at the airport to deliver our photos . She really goes above and beyond and her photographs are beautiful. We just received our hard cover book of our day, also included in our package, and it is wonderful. Thank you Lisa, for being part of what made our day so perfect. Anyone would be lucky to have you do their pictures.”- Kirstie
